Tutorial: A Napkin Fold

Napkin folding is a favorite pastime of mine - odd? Yes. Surprising? At this point, I hope not. There is something so satisfying about folding a napkin well. Perhaps this comes from my actual job as an event planner where I have always volunteered to take over the task. I have likely folded hundreds if not thousands of napkins.

If you’re going to the trouble of using linen napkins, the least you could do is display them nicely on your table. I pick my fold based on the style of napkin I am using and in future posts, I will introduce you to more of my favorite folds.

This fold is particularly great for a napkin with a monogram or design in the corner but works for any napkins of any design. Start all folds with a napkin that is ironed completely flat.

1 - Begin with the wrong side of the napkin facing up - the side without the design or monogram
