On Thank You Notes
I am a big believer in hand written notes. My reasoning is as follows: it takes more effort to send a handwritten note and people deserve a little effort. My rule of thumb is when in doubt, send a thank you note. And send a thank you note on nice stationery!
Not sure it warrants a thank you note, send a thank you note.
Forgot to send one and now you think it's too late, send a thank you note.

- You were hosted for dinner/brunch/lunch
- Someone recommended you for a job/wrote you a letter of recommendation/helped you get an interview
- You are leaving your job (so thank your boss!)
